Lactation Counseling

As my practice is rooted in a passion for teaching and improving breastfeeding support for all, I am currently offering lactation support in partnership with aspiring IBCLCs, and consultations can be booked directly through Alexandra Wachelka and Allison Mennie (links below). Students enrich my practice with their fresh perspectives and invaluable life experiences.

"Emily is an amazing professional and dear woman, I am very lucky for having had classes, assistance and conversations with her. She knows so much about breastfeeding, and connecting with this part of ourselves is absolutely useful to have a good relationship with our bodies and children. 100% recommended!"

"Emily was a wonderful educational source throughout my pregnancy and played an absolutely essential role during labour. It was a busy night at the birthing centre when we arrived and Emily’s calming and capable presence impressed even the midwives, who happily left me in her care while they prepared the room. Her incredible postpartum support probably saved my breastfeeding journey and I am so very grateful!” - Andrea

Emily was a life saver when I had my second child! She provided post partum support in the most caring and thoughtful ways, really paying attention to how I was recovering and helping in absolutely any way she could. Her knowledge of not only lactation but what a mother goes through during labor and recovery enables her to provide specialized care to each woman. I don't think I could have survived living in a different country, with a husband that traveled frequently, on my own without her. She was the person we called on to be at home with our older child when I was in the hospital delivering, she was at the hospital providing lactation support soon after I delivered, and she was there at my home when I was just trying to get through each day with 2 young children. I would recommend her gentle and truly knowledgeable support to anyone!
